Sound coming through in bypass/bypass switch not staying onnot staying on/off

the effect mode is coming through only when i press the bypass pedal on. the bypass foot switch itself is not staying on either. the tap tempo is functioning correctly the sound is right, exept for the fact is backwards on the bypass. Ive gone through the troubleshooting guide but i can’t seem to find where i went wrong!
