Jim Smith of Louisville Ohio sent us these terrific photos of his Percolator 1×8 Combo build. Comments follow each photo.
Learn how he used biscuit joints to eliminate wood screws in Percolator Tips and Tricks.
Jim substituted a red leather handle, and larger feet. Notice no screws on the sides: he used biscuited joints to assemble the cabinet instead of wood screws.
Note the absence of finish washers under the four amp screws, for a cleaner look. Jim, being a smart cat, also replaced the stock 1-1/4″ screws (part SC69) with 1″ screws, to avoid damaging the amplifier circuit board.
Jim added this convenient hook for keeping cables neat.
